********UPDATE 9/6 - Remote ID Relief is imminent. After getting home from my drone shoot tonight, I watched the Keynote from David Boulter at the FAA from the Commercial UAV conference, and he states at about minute 25:00 that relief is coming and will be announced in the next couple of "days". Watch this instead -    • Proof that Remote ID Relief is Immine...

The Remote ID broadcast deadline is now just 10 days away, but there are so many lingering questions. It turns out that the Commercial UAV Expo is taking place this week in Las Vegas, and I decided to go and cover the event. There will be a lot more coverage coming soon, but fortunately when I reached out to the FAA - it turns out, they answered, and I was even able to set-up a meeting to ask my questions directly to Kevin Morris, UAS and AAM Coordinator at Federal Aviation Administration, and communications lead for the FAA.

I am hopeful that this interview will relieve some anxiety that people are feeling about the RemoteID Broadcast Module requirement set for 9/16, and give folks a sense of clarification about some of the ways that the FAA can provide that relief, should they choose to do so. Your messages to the FAA are all being received, and it turns out, they are landing in Kevin's inbox and all over social media.

Please share your comments below, and let's hope that there are some additional updates on FAA relief soon for more clarity.
