What can I say? A winter summit camp, no wind, no clouds, a new tent! How much better can it get?

On this adventure I take in Beinn challium / Ben Challum in the Crainlarich hills. The hike up was tough due to a cold and then the sun went down so it required pitching up in the dark.

Setting up the Simond Makalu 2 for the first time in the dark was a challenge but I got there in the end. Was ever hopeful of a good sunrise but what I got was something special.

Captured using the dji mini 3 and the insta360 rs one, I hope you love the morning footage showing an amazing array of colours and a stunning cloud inversion.

After hitting the summit, it was time to come down and get all packed away.

Another adventure was ready to be over for the day. Winter camping is challenging but with the right kit it is an experience that will live long.
