   • COHUNU KOALA PARK 2022 | Byford, West...

Cohunu Koala Park
Located @ Nettleton Rd, Byford - Western Australia.
45 Minutes Drive From Perth City.
Walking With Friendly Animals & Birds.

The park covers 14 hectares of bush and it is a pleasant place to visit with the family.

We noted a degree of criticism in some of the reviews we found on the internet when we started researching the park but when we visited we found that the criticism was not warranted.

The park was clean and attractive and all the animals seemed well cared for and happy.

The collection includes a number of birds, especially different type of cockatoo, emu, ostrich and peacocks that wander the park.

Other animals include kangaroos, wallabies, fresh water crocodile, dingo, echidna, deer, rabbits, guinea pigs, a rather large domestic pig that wanders around, alpaca and of course koalas.

Some exhibits, such as the kangaroos and deer are in walk through enclosures where you can interact with the animals.

There is a souvenir shop and cafe and a number of different tables and shelters scattered around the park.

There are an eclectic mix of large sculptures including scorpions and dinosaurs and a firm favourite with the kids is the miniature railway that does a large circuit through the park grounds.

The park rates a visit of at least a couple of hours and the entry fee is quite reasonable.

We enjoyed our visit and are happy to recommend the park as a worth while place to visit.

If you are coming down from Perth then you could also include the Armadale Reptile Centre in the same trip.
