I remember when the idea of the Ether metaverse came to me. The sun was setting behind the skyline. I was staring out at the city, watching the people moving through the streets. The lights behind thousands of windows began flickering to life. There was something about this moment that I wanted everyone to be able to feel. I wanted users to have a living, breathing world of their own that made them feel this...serenity.

What Ether could become was just an idea at that point but the work started that evening. I sat at my computer and began developing a plan for a metaverse that offered wonder and peace of mind. A place to escape to. It was YOUR city.

Maybe I was feeling particularly lonely at that time. Maybe it was me that needed an escape. And now here I am...trapped. All alone.

As I wander the empty streets AdAM reshaped, I already feel a change in me. Maybe I was spending too much time creating a world so others could feel a sense of belonging. Maybe I should have started with myself and how I fit into the beautiful city that surrounded me.
