Speakers: Jonas van den Bogaard, Boris Dolley, Sebastian Grüner
Organizations new to open source often see adoption of an open source strategy and readiness plan as a daunting task. Helping internal stakeholders including not only engineering and technical teams but also legal, finance, marketing, and executives understand how to use and participate in open source responsibly and effectively can be a significant challenge. Many organizations opt to create an Open Source Program Office (OSPO) to help establish policies and procedures, as well as provide training and best practices, for open source use and contribution. This panel of OSPO leaders in the energy sector will explore strategies for the professional management of open source and improving open source readiness. This will include anecdotes of how these organizations first began their open source journeys, and tips and tricks for those new to the open source community to get started. This panel discussion will also include a focus on managing cybersecurity in open source for utilities.
