We are with author, chef and presenter John Gregory Smith as he makes the ultimate fish finger sarnie, inspired by his childhood and his travels.

A freezer staple, our Essential Waitrose line caught cod fillet pieces are coated in a light crisp crumb adding a subtle crunch to this ultimate sandwich. Serve with John’s umami mayo in soft white bread with little gem for freshness.

1 baby gem lettuce, shredded
