Pretty much everyone knows about the Carlsbad Caverns, but if you’re planning a trip to this Southwestern town in the great state of New Mexico, you might be wondering what some of the other attractions and activities are in the surrounding area.

In our humble opinion, the best thing about visiting Carlsbad is that even after you’ve thoroughly explored its fabulous namesake cave system and national park, there are still a myriad of other attractions to experience.

Often referred to as the ‘the pearl of the Pecos’, Carlsbad, New Mexico, surrounded by the Chihuahuan desert, is a picturesque city that is famous for being an outdoor-lovers utopia.
