This is a recipe that my Nanny Fay gave me when I was young. She taught me how to bake and made me love baking. There is nothing like homemade buns, they are always nicer than store bought buns. Everyone loves these buns even my husband who doesn't particularly like cake. My ten children especially love these cupcakes. They never last long which is why I always have to make lots of them. I hope you give them a try, I know you will enjoy them too.

Recipe for fairy madeira cupcakes, buns
150 grams of self-raising flour
100 grams of caster sugar
100 grams of margarine
2 eggs

Buttercream
300 grams of icing sugar
150 grams of butter
