I had a bit of a health scare at the end of last year (I'm fine now.. pretty sure..) but I wanted to tell you about it! There are so many horror stories from disabled people out there about terrible experiences they've had in the health care system. Those stories are so important to tell, but this isn't one of them! Almost everyone of the providers I encountered on this journey were amazing and I wanted to document this experience for anyone that needs proof that good ones are out there or anyone who is curious about what to do RIGHT when it comes to treating patients with disabilities.

06:23 - I didn't say it like that. I was nice, I promise.
06:34 - You can offer to help, just don't say additional weird things.
07:32 - Out of breath from putting my travel chair away. I cannot express to you how much I need the accessible van.
12:13 - Out of breath from putting the chair back, again.
21:20 - Trigger Warning if you're afraid of needles.
30:43 - She took so much time with us that by the time we left, all the other staff had gone. Lights out, reception locked up, ghost town.
