Tim Carter, a member of the People's Temple who survived Jonestown on November 18, 1978 by going on a final mission for Rev. James Warren Jones with his brother, Michael Carter, and Michael Prokes. He fought in Vietnam for the United States.

He lost his wife, Gloria Rodriguez Carter; his son, Malcolm Carter; his sister Mary Theresa "Terry" Carter Jones; his brother-in-law Lew Eric Jones; and nephew on November 18, 1978.
