Hey everyone. I really hope you liked this latest video. I tried to film in different style as usual. I was hoping to bring more quality content /more insights about the process.

Anyway i have a small game for you ☺

As i mentioned i bought fev walnut logs and i had plenty of slabs in my shop. Once you have whole logs there are many benefits to it. And one of my favourite is that you can select slabs 2 and 2 so they go nice together and you can make bookmatch style furniture. I love when the pattern emerges. This was the main reason why i made this table.

When it comes to jointing the 2 halfs together i couldn't go with epoxy. There is just too much of that on YouTube.
And i'm not fan of river style tables.

So as in my past projects i went with inlay. This time i put them very close together so the gap is very unnoticeable when table is used.
All the routing wasd made free hand.

I also commissioned glass for this table and it will have identical shape as the walnut top.

All of the work was done by hand with electric tools etc.

For the finish I went in highsolid oil in 4 coats so the table is nicely protected and resistant to water etc.

This past year without uploading went by very fast. I wished all the time to have time to upload more but .. I'm sorry guys i couldn't do it. As i said in the video all of that has changed now. New projects are already in the making and videos will be uploaded regularly.
