Part 2 of my Tokyo vlog, we are exploring Akihabara! We are just 1 day away from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert in February 8. We wanted to consume energy before the big today so in this travel vlog, we are just exploring Akihabara. From all our days in Japan, this one felt like Tokyo in its truest form! Most of us think of Tokyo as a quirky place and today we explored that. We started the day at a Maid Cafe -- many might think of a Maid Cafe as lewd and perhaps bordering on adult entertainment. Yet it was actually very tame and it seemed liked there was nothing lewd about it at all! More than anything it's just all about cute --- cute food, cute presentations, and cute outfits. We then explored the interesting shops of Akihabara. From an exhaustive display of everything anime, to electronics and retro video games, and even adult shops not for the faint-hearted, Akihabara has it all! For dinner, we lined up a full one hour at Gyukatsumotomura which is currently witnessing a lot of fame. Lastly, for after dinner drinks we went back home to Shinjuku and explored the world-famous Golden Gai Izakaya Alley. Tomorrow is Taylor Swift day!
