Xbox has in its infinite wisdom decided that Tango Gameworks , despite delivering on a critically and by Xbox own words, successful game, isn't fit to continue onwards, even to make a sequel to Hi Fi Rush as it had planned to. As well, it closes the criminally mismanaged studio in Arkane Austin, as well catching in the crossfire of closures are Roundhouse Studios and Alpha Dog Games.

Coupled with their focus on "high impact" games and an increasing reliance on Activision Blizzard, its becoming clearer and clearer that Xbox leadership has lost the rudder to their own boat and that the directive from Microsoft proper is money over creativity and that fans expecting the xbox of old, the one that inspired and delighted with fresh ideas and interesting games, even if they didn't make the most money, should look elsewhere for those experiences.

Today we take a loot at the studio closures, the outlook going forward, what I believe to be the behind closed doors turn of events that led to these decisions and the now confirmed meetings being had that will likely see Game Pass price hiked up and Call of Duty 2025 potentially not appearing in Game Pass.
