Carly Rae Jepsen managed to play a delirious amount of show in NYC in the span of a little over a day. She had sold out two nights at the rooftop at Pier 17. On night one, a few songs in thunder and lighting came sparking across the skies and unfortunately the show had to be cancelled just 5 songs into the set. I left the show drenched and drove back home. By the time I got home, my friend was already texting me that a makeup show was being held at Rockwood Music Hall. I let out a sigh, and turned my car around back into the city. The line wrapped down a few blocks. The way it was handled was that Carly was shuffling in batches of fans for a few songs at a time before cycling in a new batch of fans (who had tickets for the pier 17 show). Luckily my friend Carlo, Joe, and I were able to get in for the last group of the night right around 12AM midnight. It was a trip!

Then for the next day, it was announced a matinee afternoon show would be held as a makeup show for the cancelled show, in addition to the already happening night two show. While I couldn't make it to the afternoon show, I did meet up again for the night show, making it 3 CRJ shows in the span of about 27 hours for me. It really goes to show the amount of love she has for her fans and how hard she's willing to work for us. Honestly I don't know how she had the energy to perform that many times in such a short span, but damn does she love us NYC fans.
