Following up on my previous videos about the two new Bill Evans UHQR in which I pitch them against my ultimate reference: the Tape Project 'master tape copy' 15ips 2-track reel to reel, and Mobile Fidelity's 'ultimate' version: the One-Step Ultradisc (the only pure "AAA" one at that).

Despite having covered the new UHQRs before, I hadn't heard the new 'budget audiophile' releases from Craft's relaunched OJC series. Although I have tried some of this new series and was mightily impressed, so for completeness and for this who simply can't afford $150 on a UHQR, I have purchased both of these Craft OJCs and pitch them against the UHQRs.

Unlike some of the previous incarnations of OJC, these new releases are all AAA all analogue, cut from the original analogue master tapes by mastering legend Kevin Gray.

Pressed at RTI, presented in very nice quality jackets. These releases, which sell for around $40 / £50 promise much for the money.

Do they deliver? and, if they do, how do they compare to the 'ultimate' UHQR vinyl LP releases?
