Included is the photo I took. You may want to print it out as a reference photo. If the whole scene is overwhelming then, crop it! Choose an interesting section and forget the rest!
- crop the photo to something you're comfortable with
- draw grid lines on the photo and on your canvas to make transferring it easier.
- notice the COOL & WARM areas and paint them in with a large brush. No details yet! Just establish the basic colour and temperatures.
- once its blocked-in now you can work inside of those basic shapes to adjust some of the details.
- remember to look at the VALUES, adjust the whites and darks.
- always walk away from your work. You'll see new things when you do.
- do lots of layers and editing to get all these things working for you!
