“Busy” has become a badge of honor. Checking things off the to-do list is something we strive for, yet we often miss out on so much when our face is pointed in one direction.

If you’ve watched Mister Rogers Neighborhood for more than 5 minutes, you know it’s a completely different pace. It’s soooo slow.
Tom Hanks, when preparing to play Mister Rogers, said that you know you’ve got Fred’s pacing right when it feels wrong. That it’s too slow. But Fred did that on purpose.

He understood that taking time, especially in relationships, allows the other person to know he or she is WORTH THE TIME. (Again, we are all created by God and have value and worth!)

The same is true with our relationship with God. Are we taking time to put away distractions and listen…to hear what God is speaking to us?
