Part 10 of a series charting the history of West Ham United during the four and a half years of Billy Bonds' management.

League form remains patchy with home defeats to an average Man City side and Coventry but creditable draws at Forest and Oldham. Small is firing on all cylinders in league and cup. Trevor Morley has a fractured skull but is still preferred up front to Frank McAvennie. Bonds has made it clear he is playing the Scot with reluctance. Back in the team though, The Hammers beat Tottenham, progress in the league and ZDS cups and beat champions Arsenal at Highbury. It looks like against the odds West Ham might stay up. But that's before the board intervene with in ill-judged and divisive plan that will define the season.

Episodes published every Saturday. Video clips, matchday programmes, quotes, interviews, news stories, TV and film and the music of the era.
