Most piano students would start to learn and be taught 'The Well Tempered Clavier' at some point as their music lessons get more serious and into the higher levels. A great work of immense pedagogical value, I have decided to feature a selection of J.S. Bach's Preludes and Fugues. This follows earlier videos 'Introduction to The Well Tempered Clavier' and 'Prelude and Fugue No. 1 in C major'. This video discusses J.S. Bach's contrapuntal features in a standard fugue which has the 3 main sections. By combining theoretical knowledge and performance elements, this series of videos hope to help students unravel the mystery and intricacies of Bach's genius at work.
