What is Boondocking in an RV? (Pros, Cons, and legality)

Boondocking is when you are camping overnight in your RV but not in an official campground. It could be a Walmart parking lot (when you do that there, it's officially called Wally-Docking), but it could also be at a rest stop or in a National Forest.

Boondocking means no hookups. So make sure your water tank is full and your gray and black water tanks relatively empty. You'll also want enough gas to run your generator all night if you need power for AC, heat, entertainment, or your fridge.
