After moving the pigs to some fresh woods, its time to clean up the paddock they just left. On our farm, the pigs help earn their keep by clearing out overgrown areas of the farm and helping get it ready to turn back into high quality pasture. After decades of this farm only being used for hay production (and the hay was removed from the farm), I think the land suffers from a severely degraded soil biodiversity. We are using regenerative agriculture farming and grazing practices that will rebuild our soil and while also providing high quality humanely grown pork and beef to our family, friends, and local community.
