When I said I do not recommend this pack, I was referring to those who are looking for any type of tactical style pack. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an external frame pack or who wants to experiment with the ALICE frame. Regardless how you carry your tactical gear, you’ll need to clip the hip belt away from you. Otherwise the hip bet will get in the way of your gear, but the frame will still help in dealing with heavy loads. If you are able to use a 1606 frame and it works for you, I’d like to hear how you like it.
