横浜みなとみらいで開催中のクリスマスマーケットは、週末の夕方には入場待ち時間が１時間以上かかります。（今後さらに増えるかもしれません）

夕方からは気温も低くなってくるので、なるべく温かい恰好をしていくのは基本ですが、それ以外に、何度かすでに平日、週末、日中、夜に行く中で、ほぼ最終日まで通用するであろう攻略法を発見しました。（本番が近づくにつれて運用が変わったらごめんなさい。おそらく変わらないはず）

横浜のクリスマスマーケットは16時からイルミネーションが会場内で点灯します。そこからが雰囲気も出て本番のような感じに。会場自体は11時からオープンしています。

この動画の際は、13時に入場列に並んだ際には15分待ち。その前週に14時に入場列に並んだ際には25分待ちでした。つまり、早い時間帯ほど、入場待ちをする人の数は少ないです。（12月25日本番までその傾向は変わらないはず）たいてい、16時以降のイルミネーションを見るために、入場口に並びます。

ただ、クリスマスマーケットは1度、入場時にリストバンドを貰ってしまえば、あとは入退場は自由です。赤レンガ倉庫を見たり、みなとみらい、中華街あたりを見ていても自由です。

つまり、攻略法とは、なるべく早い時間に、一度は、クリスマスマーケットに来場してリストバンドを貰い、横浜周辺を観光して、夕方以降、暗くなってきた時に、会場に戻れば、再入場口から、そこまで並ばずに会場内に入ることが出来ます。

遠方から来る方は、特に、クリスマスマーケットの入場待ちで数時間を費やすのは勿体ないので、ぜひ、この方法を参考に有意義な、横浜観光をしていただければ幸いです。

The Christmas Market at Yokohama Minato Mirai has an admission wait time of over an hour on weekend evenings. (The wait time may increase as the end date approaches.)

The basic rule is to dress as warmly as possible since the temperature will be cooler in the evenings, but besides that, I have found a strategy that will work almost until the last day of the event, as I have already visited several times on weekdays, weekends, during the day, and at night. (Sorry if the operation changes as the Christmas show approaches. It probably won't change.)

At the Yokohama Christmas Market, the illuminations are turned on at 4:00 p.m. in the hall. That's when the atmosphere starts and it looks like the real thing. The venue itself opens at 11:00.

At the time of this video, when I got in the entrance line at 1pm, I had to wait 15 minutes. The week before that, when I got in the entrance line at 14:00, I waited 25 minutes. In other words, the earlier the time, the fewer the number of people waiting in line to enter. (This trend should not change until the actual event on December 25.) Most of the time, people line up at the entrance to see the illumination after 4:00 p.m.

However, once you get your wristband at the entrance, you are free to enter and exit the Christmas Market. You are free to visit the Red Brick Warehouse, Minato Mirai, and Chinatown.

In other words, the strategy is to visit the Christmas Market at the earliest possible time, get a wristband, go sightseeing in the Yokohama area, and return to the venue when it gets dark in the evening.

If you are coming from far away, it would be a waste to spend several hours waiting in line to enter the Christmas Market, so we hope you will use this method as a guide to have a meaningful sightseeing tour of Yokohama.
