Hello Everyone! Today is a BIG commission piece. I will be doing a pearl pour with the white pearl cell recipe (listed below) and a dutch pour over top. This piece will be hung vertically but I also like the way it looks horizontally as well. This is a 30"x48" Deep Edge Gallery Wrapped Canvas by Artist Loft and I found that even though it is a big canvas it held up well to the weight of the paint and didn't need bracing underneath. I was really nervous with this one and wasn't completely happy with the top portion (or I guess right side if you are looking at the picture) but I didn't want to disturb the cells at the top by adding more paint so I just waited until it dried and added in some more dimension. Materials I used in this demonstration:
30"X48” Deep Edge Gallery Wrapped Canvas (ARTIST LOFT LEVEL 3)
Amsterdam: Titanium White, Sky Blue Light
Pebeo Studios: Iridescent Blue Green
Golden Fluids: Prussian Blue, Iridescent Gold, Interference Gold
Modern Masters: Venetian Blue
Golden GAC 800
Golden Color Pour Medium
US Floetrol
Behr Satin Enamel (Ultra Pure White)

Colored Pearl Recipe:
4 parts Behr Satin Enamel Deep Base
3 parts US Floetrol
2 parts tube paint or 1 part fluid paint (to tint)
1.5 parts Golden Gloss Color Pouring Medium
Water to thin (approx 4 parts depending on Behr satin enamel ratios)

White Pearl Cell Recipe:
2 Pts Behr Premium Plus Pure White
2 parts Artist Loft Paint
3 Parts US Floetrol
1.5 Parts Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss
Water to thin (approx 2 pts)

Pouring Medium for puddle and Dutch pour paints:
50% Floetrol 50% Golden GAC 800 (or Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss)

Puddle & Dutch Pour Paints mixed 1 pt paint to 5 pts PM and water to consistency (tube paint approximately 1 part water, fluid paint no water) (This is the ratio for highly pigmented paints like Golden, Amsterdam, Pebeo, etc)

No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.
