Is Huguenot Park the best beach in Jacksonville Florida? I'm not sure, but if you like smooth, royalty free reggae beats and sunny days at the beach, then this video just might be right up your alley.
Mrs. King Overland and I drove to a nearby beach we had never visited. Huguenot Memorial Park in Jacksonville FL, so named because French Huguenots landed there in 1562. There was a French fort in Jacksonville before the Spanish established St. Augustine, the oldest city in what is now the United States. Anyway, the French colony did not last, the Spanish took over and held sway for a couple hundred years. Then there were a few wars, a new nation was born, and well, as they say the rest is history.

But I digress, if you like driving on the beach and seeing other cool vehicles and just people watching in general, check out Huguenot Park. The park is up against the Atlantic Ocean and the St. Johns River and is just across the river from Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville. It even has camping, which I may partake of at a later date. ;-)

Thanks for watching.
