This rhythm idea was inspired by Marco Minnemann. Marco Minnemann demonstrated playing a 5/16 time pattern with his left hand while playing 7/16 time pattern with his right hand - and then he added a 9/16 time pattern with his his feet. My mind was blown by his coordination, but I also thought the sound of the drum patterns going through the stages of sync was interesting. I composed a drum track based on this idea and then I added guitar, bass, and keyboard parts to it to make it a full instrumental piece. I was surprised at how catchy it is, and the rhythm is sort of hypnotic at times.
