Belgreen Allstars 8U With Tough Game Against 8u Eastern Allstars

Belgreen Allstars 8U couldn't keep up with 8u Eastern Allstars and fell 17-7 on Saturday.

8u Eastern Allstars got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ella D grounded out, scoring one run, Hadley W hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs, and Emmalou M hit a solo inside the park home run.

Belgreen Allstars 8U tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a double by Olivia S, a single by Brycelyn B, and a double by Espynn B.

An inside the park home run by Chloe D gave 8u Eastern Allstars the lead, 6-4, in the top of the second.

In the bottom of the second inning, Belgreen Allstars 8U went back into the lead after Mary-Grace S singled, Ava C tripled, and Olivia S singled, each scoring one run.

An inside the park home run by Ali M gave 8u Eastern Allstars the lead, 9-7, in the top of the third.

8u Eastern Allstars scored eight runs on nine hits in the top of the fourth inning. Parker C tripled, scoring two runs, Ella D grounded out, scoring one run, Ali M singled, scoring one run, Emmalou M doubled, scoring one run, Avery B tripled, scoring two runs, and McKenna B singled, scoring one run.

Espynn B opened the game for Belgreen Allstars 8U. The right-handed pitcher gave up 20 hits and 17 runs over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking none.

Belgreen Allstars 8U collected 11 hits in the game. Mary-Grace S, Olivia S, and Ava C each collected two hits for Belgreen Allstars 8U. Brycelyn B and Olivia S were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Belgreen Allstars 8U. Belgreen Allstars 8U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brycelyn B had the most chances in the field with two.

8u Eastern Allstars amassed 20 hits in the game. Ali M provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led 8u Eastern Allstars with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Hadley W and Emmalou M each collected three hits for 8u Eastern Allstars. Chloe D, Lillian L, Parker C, and Avery B each collected multiple hits for 8u Eastern Allstars.
