As we begin our project to install a GM Powertrain LS engine in an 80's Cadillac, we need to have an engine and transmission. We had a Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 with 4wd and a 5.3L / 4l60E combination. This video will show our "donor" vehicle, engine, and transmission, and explain the steps we took to remove the necessary parts for the swap. We spent considerable time tracking down the sensors and wiring harnesses to make the swap easier.
