Join me for some landscape photography at Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey, North Wales.

In this landscape photography location shoot at Llanddwyn Island, Newborough on Anglesey, I'm joined by fellow photographer and vlogger, Darren Knight (Darren's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPSa.... It's an absolute pleasure to spend time with Darren again having first met him at the Landscape Photography on YouTube meet up in Keswick, last September. I'd been a subscriber to Darren's channel for a while and really enjoy his laid back approach and, most importantly the excellent photographic work he produces.

So when he mentioned he was coming to North Wales, I jumped at the chance of spending time with him out shooting landscapes and of course, happy to offer a few pointers about locations in the mountains of Snowdonia where he could get the most from his time here on these short winter days.

We were very lucky with the weather conditions on the day we elected to spend on the Anglesey coast. Although the light was uninspiring, there was interesting contrast in the sky and the forecasted rain held off. We started out at St Cwyfan's Church in the Sea, Aberffraw for a couple of hours in the morning, but I didn't vlog that. I've just added in some stills captured there. It was a nice change to be out with the camera and just concentrating on landscape photography rather than making a video!

But this vlog concentrates on the afternoon we spent on Newborough Beach and on Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey. While Darren was looking to add to his impressive portfolio with some of the classic Llanddwyn Island shots, I hunted around for a few alternative perspectives. More as an exercise in scouting for a revisit in better light, but also to allow Darren a bit of breathing space to enjoy his time here.

None of Darren's images are included because you'll need to look out for his own vlog to see how he got on, but he did seem to enjoy himself here and we even managed to get off the island before the tide cut us off!

Thank you so much for watching my landscape photography channel. Please do comment and share your thoughts - I always reply to every single comment. And if you haven't done it already, why not subscribe and join me next time!
