Odun Nlo Sopin was shot into video on the 15th September 2005 by Berachah Music Limited whose office is in Lagos, Nigeria.
Before now, the song was available only in audio for over two and half decades and because of the heavy demand by Good Women Choir, Ibadan teeming fans for a video, the song was shot into video after much consultation both spiritual and physical.
For spiritual consultation, we meant waiting on God's direction whether that is what He wanted the choir to do at that point in time and as for the physical, because the choir were no longer together since 1995 and some of them had relocated from Ibadan, the producer had to make efforts to gather the remaining choir together for the shooting.
So the shooting did not commenced until these two vital factors were taken care of by the choir in 2005. This according to them was very hectic. But eventually, the producer was able to gather about 10 members out of the 15 that recorded the audio in 1979 for the video shooting.
The audio album was composed and recorded by C,A,C, Good Women Choir, Ibadan, led by Mrs, D.A. Fasoyin.
Odun Nlo Sopin as a celebrated audio album was released in 1979. Unconfirmed statistics indicate that the album is the biggest selling gospel music album ever in Nigeria, with many thousands being sold each time the album is reprinted, especially towards the end of the year.
Odun Nlo Sopin owes its continued popularity to the indigenous rhythmic approach, which has earned it a unique style with a gospel sound that is easily identifiable. For this reason, the music continues to remain authentic and down to earth
The messages in the songs are based on Biblical texts and scriptures but have been composed for gospel singing by Mrs. D.A. Fasoyin who is also the leader of the choir.
The choir is still exploiting this individual and original approach with which it now appeals to a matured target audience, needless to say that its impact is very well felt at the grassroots level, an indication that the choir will remain relevant for many years to come.
The album in all have 7 (seven) prayerful and powerful tracks to the glory of God and Odun Nlo Sopin is the first video of the choir and has received many awards at home and abroad.
Glory and halelluyah to our king.
