Even as a child, master carpenter Horst Perk from Weibern in the Eifel region had enjoyed making bows from hazelnut branches and playing Indians: he rediscovered this childlike enthusiasm almost 20 years ago. Since then he has concentrated on traditional bow making and also makes the arrows and the sinews himself.
