The bright red curry is so appetising and tempting to look at😋And then, there’s also the lovely aroma which immediately takes you to flavour-heaven 🤗 The Ambot-tik, as the name suggests, is a sour and spicy curry. It’s perfect for fish like the Lep (Sole fish). This flat fish is just too good in this curry! I’ve demonstrated the cleaning of the fish too (I got some really big ones from the market and they were super fresh!)
This is a recipe you should try if you like fish and find a good catch of Lep!🐟
Mog Asum ❤️ Let There Be Love

Ingredients:
2 large Sole fish (Lep), washed, cleaned and cut. Apply Salt, set aside for 20 minutes and then rinse it.

For the Ambot-tik paste
4 Byadgi Chillies, for heat
4 Kashmiri Chiliies, for colour
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
4 Cloves
8 Black Peppercorns
1/2 inch Cinnamon
3-4 Garlic cloves, peeled
1/2” Ginger
Water

For the curry:
2-3 Tablespoons Oil
A medium-sized Onion, finally chopped
A medium-sized Tomato, finely chopped
The Ambot-Tik paste
2 Cups Water (+/-)
2-3 Tablespoons Tamarind Juice
3-4 Kokum rinds
Salt to taste
Add the rinsed fish
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
1 Green Chilli, slit
