This three-part series of video essays examines the Kierkegaardian existentialism set in motion by Richard Linklater’s ‘Before’ trilogy. In this video essay, Part Three, I focus on ‘Before Midnight’ and examine the existential stagnation the leading couple have gone on to experience since reuniting nine years prior in Paris.
