Having Egyptian food as you tour the streets of Cairo is a must. While I had some good Egyptian food the day before, today I wanted to try other kinds of food in Egypt. This lead me to a burger and chicken placed called Heart Attack. Later in the evening I went to the famous Greek Club restaurant to see the Egyptians' version on Greek food. I was pleasantly surprised at both places.
A surprise that wasn't so pleasant was after I left the Greek Club and was filming on the street. I was approached by two men. One was an undercover policeman, the other was a man translating for him. The secret policeman wanted to know who I was and why I was filming. I was told it was illegal and he even threatened to make me delete my memory card. With two revolutions in the last decade or so, the Egyptian government seems to be very paranoid and has many riot police stationed around the city and apparently a large number of undercover police around Cairo.
After this incident I read that it was legal to film in Egypt but a big Youtuber food channel had many problems with the police detaining and confiscating their equipment. He even did a video about his experiences call "Worst place to shoot".
