Change your own oil, in your driveway. I'm working on a 2010 Ford F150 5.4L 3V Triton V8. DIY, minimal tools, lets hop to it. Most vehicles are similar at least. Locate the drain plug and filter, check manual for capacities, oil specs, and consult the book in the oil filter aisle for a filter. Clean spills with cat litter, let it set for a week or so.

Using a Mobile One synthetic oil filter (M1-210A) and Ford 5W-20 synthetic blend motor oil. Also, one rag in my back pocket.

The drain pan was like $20..the Filter wrench, which did end up fitting, was like $12...Socket set was $20, but only needed the wrench and 13mm for this..and I'd say that's the bare minimum. Had the tools, but the oil was like $45.50, filter was ~$10.

7 quart oil change for $55.50
