Dr Sujit Roy presented at the SERVIR's Geo-AI Working Group on August 7, 2024.

Sujit works as a Lead AI Researcher and Computer Scientist at NASA’s Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concept Teams (IMPACT), where he leads the development of foundational models for analyzing satellite imagery, enhancing weather forecasting and Heliophysics, resulting in multiple practical scientific applications. Prior to his tenure at NASA IMPACT, Dr. Roy contributed to the field of Explainable AI at the University of Manchester.

In this talk, Sujit talked about two Foundational Model - Prithvi Geo-Foundational Model and Weather Foundational Model. He explained the intricacies of these model and downstream applications for the Applied Science community.
