A truck carrying 2 tons of formaldehyde leaked near St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and an adjacent village, causing panic among residents in Chumoukedima. Reports indicate that many experienced choking, suffocation, and difficulty breathing. Some individuals even lost consciousness, while children reported burning eyes and vomiting. In response to the incident, the district administration has filed an FIR against the responsible green timber mill company for further investigation.
