This version includes not only the founding fathers of Judaism (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) but also the founding mothers (Sarah, Rebecca, Leah, and Rachel).

Because the founding mothers (matriarchs) were added later, there are different ways to incorporate their names. Some people list Rachel before Leah, though this version lists Leah first (because she was the older sister and Jacob's first wife, even if Rachel was Jacob's favorite wife).

This version also uses the word "G'ulah" (redemption) rather than "Go'el" (redeemer), reflecting a Reform hope for a messianic era of peace rather than a prayer for a specific messiah to come and redeem the world. Perhaps we are the ones who need to work, in partnership with God to repair and redeem the world from it's somewhat broken state.
