This is the second pair I have had the opportunity to review from Cie out of Shanghai. This is the oxford 02. A uniquely chiseled plain toe oxford. The first pair was the triple monkstrap boot and while it was quite nice it unfortunately fit me too loose (a common problem with me and boots). This pair however fits better and I took my normal US size in them. For both pairs the standout feature for me was the hand painted patina finish. Both were really exceptionally done and took a great shine. There are a number of great looking patina colors on the website and hopefully I will get a chance to see more of their work in the future. The construction is goodyear welted and is done well although this pair had a few sloppy stitches. This has no structural impact on the shoe but I did notice it. The only other thing that stood out as a negative is the overall size of the heel stack and how it juts out from the sides of the shoe. Not exactly a flaw but I think if they were to trim down the heel and have it hug the sides of the shoes closer it would really improve the looks of the shoe. Still these are the nicest shoe I have seen yet from China. Overall I think these come in at a very fair price at $299. Let me know what you think of them?
