In the midst of a global pandemic, how do you safely use a gas pump or charge an EV at a public charging station? Coronavirus has made all of us extremely sensitive to germs in public, and rightfully so. Although the Ride team would recommend staying home first, we understand that some people still have to move about in the midst of these uncertain times. A very big component of personal transportation is refueling your vehicle.
Whether you have a traditional gas car, an electric car, or a plug-in hybrid, the best practices are pretty similar here. The main key to remember: don’t allow germs to get on you or your car. While many people might wear gloves at the pump or in public, gloves really don’t do much good unless you are using them properly.
