We invite you to the rally and public hearing at Newtown HS on April 17th at 5 pm!

The New York Department of Education has decided to vote on the closing of multiple schools in Queens, one of which is the school I attend, Newtown High School. What I, and a few of my fellow classmates attempt to do, is to justify to all that Newtown is a great school. It is a school built on cultural and religious diversity.

As a school with an unrivaled music and technology program, it is home to nearly 5,000 students and teachers who are proud to be former students of the school.

Our goal is for everyone to see and spread this video and do everything possible to help keep Newtown open. Call your local congressman, call Mayor Bloomberg, call the DOE, let them know that Newtown deserves to stay open. Share this video to everyone you know, through every medium possible and make sure everyone knows what Newtown is really like.
