Panthers End Elks’ Season

• Fifth seed Centerville overcame first-half miscues to tie the game in the third quarter, but fourth seed Toledo Whitmer pulled away late for a 42-31 win in the Region 2 quarterfinal.

• Chase Harrison found Cam Smith for a 34-yard TD in the third to tie the game at 28, but the Panthers answered with a touchdown to take the lead for good.

• Harrison also connected with Ryan Keifer on a score and Emable Wakilongo added a rushing score for the Elks, who finished 8-4.
