On Friday 25 August 2023 I drove the 27 mile road from Mexico Hwy 1 to Agua Verde. All but 6 miles is non-paved and a high-clearance vehicle along with suitable driving skills are needed for the challenging grades, switchbacks and changing road conditions. Always descend in the lowest possible gear, relying on brakes as little as possible. On my drive I had to stop and help someone with brake fluid who had no idea about this.

You'll also see in this video places like Punta Aguja, Playa San Cosme, El Puertito de Agua Verde as well as many of the offshore islands, including Isla Carmen (in the Parque Nacional Bahía de Loreto), Isla Monserrate, Isla San Cosme and Isla San Damian.

I intend to go back and do some hiking in the area soon, looking for petroglyphs as well as exploring some interesting canyons I'm curious about that are visible on Google Earth imagery. I intend to walk due Southeast almost in a straight line of arroyos that ends at Santa Martha.
