According to www.cityofeuclid.com Euclid’s vision to provide unprecedented public waterfront access, habitat enhancements, and upland stability is underway! Mark Haynes Construction began mobilizing on November 1, 2018 with the current phase of work expected to reach substantial completion by October 31, 2019.

The City broke ground on the western portion of Phase II (Sims Park to E.242nd Street) in Fall 2018 after a ceremonial groundbreaking was held at the Joseph Farrell Memorial Fishing Pier on September 6th, 2018. This milestone reflects years of planning and the support of public and private partnerships.
In a historic vote on August 6th, 2018, Euclid City Council authorized the Mayor to enter into a contract for construction on the western portion of Phase II with low and best qualified bidder Mark Haynes Construction.
The City has over $7M in hand specifically for western phase construction activity and is actively fundraising to complete Phase II and future phases.
In Fall 2017, the City successfully executed easement agreements and property donations from project area stakeholders, setting the stage for improved economic opportunity in the region while providing ecological benefits, erosion control, and unprecedented public access to Lake Erie.
