As you know I feed my animals a raw food diet, and Iberia gets a ketogenic raw food diet for dogs. If you are wondering how to raw feed your dog or how to raw feed your cat safely, then this video is for you. I wanted to talk about raw pet food safety white I actually show you how to safely prep raw cat food and how to safely prep raw dog food.

I actually get this question a lot: “is raw pet food safe? What about my children? What about contamination?” And the thing is, raw pet food preparation can be as simple as prepping food for ourselves (and definitely safer than normal pet food! Did you know that commercial dog food and commercial cat food can have more contaminants that raw meat? Yup! YUK!!!). And I think it’s just that in this microwave, ready made dinner world, we have forgotten how to handle raw food, and how to handle raw meat more specifically.

So sit back and watch me prepare raw food for cat and raw food for dogs, safely, quickly, and easily (and with a bit of music, too!). Raw meat is safe for cats, and it’s safe for dogs, and for us, too. And really, we could all use a reminder in food safety!
