Another of my theater uploads from the Bickford Theater of Morristown, NJ's productions of 1995-2001 that I obtained from the private collection of the theather's then-producer, Walker Joyce and which I put up in order to document a record of their work. This production from 2000 is of the 1964 Tony Award winning play "The Subject Was Roses" which on Broadway starred Jack Albertson and Martin Sheen and was later made into a movie 1968 with the two reprising their roles and Albertson winning a Best Supporting Actor Oscar (and with Patricia Neal also appearing). The play is a three character story of a son returning home after World War II to see his parents and the slow revelation of problems and discord that has always existed.

Bickford's productions were of high caliber and were generally well-acclaimed by New Jersey theater critics.
